Though I love the Fall and Winter I miss the colors and warmth that Summer brings. For some reason during the Fall/Winter months I tend to veer away from warm colors and only wear neutrals. Looking at these colors makes me feel warm and long for that feeling.

It is officially starting to get cold. I have a love/hate relationship with this time of year. Love because this season has the best holidays bringing you close to loved ones, getting to pull-out the new coats that you bought on sale the Spring before, snuggles near the fire place, Fall’s foliage and drinking an abundance of hot cocoa. Hate because Fall is the tip-toe season leading us into the frigged coldness we call Winter.

This is the perfect Sunday to stay in bed and relax.The leaves are starting to change, it’s cold enough outside to want to stay in and be cozy. Only thing on my agenda today is to stay in bed and read a book. As you’ll notice I kind of have a love affair for beds dressed in white. There is something soothing about an all white bed, especially if there is a view. It’s like sleeping in a big puffy and fluffy cloud.

This random cluster of images are my current source of inspiration. The iconic style of Jane & Serge, laced alligator heels, ornately detailed ceilings, simple outfits, skirts with sneakers and especially the image of the water in motion.
I am always saving images. You never know when you may need to reference an image for color combination ideas, same goes for furniture arrangements, or when you ask yourself ‘Can I wear Nike high-tops with a Givenchy skirt’ kinda moment.
I do not know how the weather has been treating you, but in DC it has been raining non-stop. What happened to the Summer? All I keep thinking about are sunny days, blue skies and taking as many naps outside as possible. I have especially been getting excited about going to the South of France next month. I cannot wait!!!!! In the mean time the below pictures will suffice in keeping my mind in my summer dream land.
