I discovered this barn on the internet yesterday and it took my breath away. It was an abandoned barn in Extremadura, Spain that someone bought and turned into a vacation home. With the help of Abaton, a Spanish architectural firm, they were able to turn a dilapidated barn into the perfect rustic getaway. The addition of the over-sized wooden shutters add a modern touch yet blend will the the aged stone. I like the minimal use of furniture in the home as to not deflect attention from the generous view. The mid-century furniture is a nice touch of simplistic style.
This is where I wish I was today. Waking up to a nice view, going for a hike, tanning by the pool…..how relaxing does that sound?!?
Imagine waking up to the view these rooms have to offer. Ultimate peace.
I want to live there!
