The bad weather has finally broken and I am meeting a friend on his rooftop today. He has a beautiful rooftop with spectacular views of DC. It is a perfect setting for us to discuss some future projects we have in the works. Am feeling inspired and wanted to share some rooftops I think are neat.

SHARP
There are so many elements of this room that scream Shane! My friends know that I have a serious love affair for anything black/gold and this room has some beautiful pairings of my favorite color combo. The ceiling has this gorgeous subtle gold lacquered finish. The console has this beautifully aged bronze brushed look on the cabinet doors and the console support gives definition to the piece, as well as, soften its sharp look.
I absolutely love windows and light! Something I get from my mother. Growing up our homes always had a ton of windows. I especially appreciate iron framed windows, they seem to be like a frame, showcasing the exterior.
It is a sharp room with its geometric shapes but at the same time it brings a sense of comfort. This image is definitely going up on my inspirational board.
SUMMER
I do not know how the weather has been treating you, but in DC it has been raining non-stop. What happened to the Summer? All I keep thinking about are sunny days, blue skies and taking as many naps outside as possible. I have especially been getting excited about going to the South of France next month. I cannot wait!!!!! In the mean time the below pictures will suffice in keeping my mind in my summer dream land.
SIMPLE
SNEAKS
I absolutely love wearing sneakers with skirts and dresses. Wanted to share some looks that I think are an amazing example of being fashionable while comfortable.
Jenna Lyons (below)- Creative Director of J Crew is known for wearing sneakers with evening wear and being effortlessly chic.

I recently came upon the Temperley London Spring/Summer’15 collection by Alice Temperley and was pleased to see the models rocking sneakers with every single look that was presented on the runway whether it was a dress, shorts, skirt or pair of trousers. I find it to be refreshing, realistic and genius!
NEUTRALS
GREEN WALLS
Green walls have become popular in the last decade. The first image of the green wall behind the bathtub inspired me to write this post. I was intrigued to look and see how others have incorporated the use of green walls in their homes, yards and exterior facades.
Though I am not opposed to the idea of having one in my home or courtyard, it seems rather daunting because I am uneducated on what the upkeep entails.
Would you have a green wall in your home?
BLUE
MODERN GOTH
This tri-level London penthouse is sparse in some aspects but rich in textures. This bachelor pad is located in a renovated 19th-century building near St. Pancras railway station. (The train station Harry Potter goes to for trips to Hogwarts). The penthouse is on England’s National Heritage List and as a result the beautiful original features had to be preserved.
I love the curtain wall in the master bedroom, the velvet headboard and the textured muted wallpaper…it all adds an element of coziness considering its open tri-level floor plan. The master bath is simply and amazingly well designed for a bachelor.
The arrabascato marble his and her bathrooms at the bottom are for guests. They (TG Studio- London) ingeniously encompass the beautiful scenic views of London, as well as took the high ceilings into consideration by adding the chandeliers as center pieces.
