COLOR ME WARM
Though I love the Fall and Winter I miss the colors and warmth that Summer brings. For some reason during the Fall/Winter months I tend to veer away from warm colors and only wear neutrals. Looking at these colors makes me feel warm and long for that feeling.

MARIO TESTINO
My final project for studio was to design an artist retreat for the artist of my choice. I chose Mario Testino. His work inspires me. He has this vibrant personality that is able to ease any client of his. His photos like to show a bold, sexy, confident yet happy easy going woman. See for yourself. Hope you enjoy his work as much as I do.

MARTHE ARMITAGE
Let me tell you how I learned about the wonderful artist Marthe Armitage…
I am a fan of Landscape Artist Miranda Brooks (post about her work coming soon) and while searching, a Vogue article featuring her Brooklyn home popped up.Being nosy I had to check it out. I fell in love with the light blue wallpaper that was showcased in her daughter’s room. I decided to do some research on the person or company that produced such a lovely print. That is when I came across and learned about the very talented Marthe Armitage.
She is a British woman of 86 years, who has been hand printing wallpaper since the 50s and has only recently been recognized for her work in the last 10 years!! Marthe hand draws all of her designs, she cuts her designs into lino blocks and then uses a lithographic printing press to create her custom wallpaper. All of this is done in her studio/garage with the help of her daughter.
Her work is classic yet modern and works well in many different settings.

NATE AND JEREMIAH
I feel like the entire nation is a fan of Nate Berkus’s work. His husband Jeremiah Brent is also a very talented decorator put the two together and you can rest assure their place in NYC is a show stopper. Though I think they just recently sold it. Black and gold is my favorite color combination and that kitchen just does it for me…IN LOVE. They have beautiful chevron wood floors, a complimenting neutral palette throughout and the carrera marble in the bathroom!!! Bonus…they make a beautiful family.

LOAFERS
Though I do not own a pair of loafers, I want to oh so badly. The ones below are chic and casual. They make any everyday outfit look put together. The Gucci loafers in the last image are classic and beautiful!
